Weekly Fit Letter

Hi & Happy Tuesday Evening :)

Note: So sorry I’m just getting this out on Tuesday and not on the usual Sunday evening-- was at a conference this past weekend learning all about Insanity & Team Beachbody! 
 MEALSPIRATION SPOTLIGHT: Coconut Steamed Veggies (1 serving -- a 
great side dish -- from the 3-Day Refresh)
½ c water
½ c chopped fresh broccoli or green beans
½ c sliced fresh carrots
½ c chopped fresh cauliflower
½ tsp coconut oil
¼ tsp sea salt
Add water to medium saucepan, bring to a boil.  Add broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower to saucepan; cover and cook 4-5 minutes or until tender-crisp.  To serve, place veggies in a bowl.  Add coconut oil and salt; toss gently and coat.

FINANCIAL HEALTH SPOTLIGHT Budget Fitness Tip: Leave the Car at Home

If you want to save some serious money, and get the blood pumping at the same time, one way is to look for alternative forms of transportation when getting around. The bus or subway is often cheaper than driving your car and you'll get some exercise out of it—you do have to walk to the bus stop or subway station, after all. Best of all, if you live close enough to commute to work on your bicycle, not only will you save money on gas costs, but you'll get in great shape in no time.

If you have to drive: Instead of fighting for a close parking space, take a space off the beaten path and add a few extra steps to your routine. Your body will thank you for it.
