Fabulous Friday!

Yay, it's FRIDAY!  Here are some tips for going out to eat (which is one of my favorite things to do on the weekends), but still sticking to your health goals.  

1. Order water with lemon or lime.  Why? More flavorful and will fill you up a little bit before eating. 

2. Need a cocktail?  Ask for skinny cocktails.  Why?  Cocktails are usually filled with tons of empty calories.  I love spicy so most often I'll go for spicy martini like a Hot-pepper-infused vodka over ice with an olive (105 calories)

3. Skip apps.  Why? There are very few apps that are actually healthy.  Meals are big enough!

4. Be picky!  Ask for your chicken grilled, veggies steamed and/or without butter, or baked instead of mashed potato.   Why?  Saving calories can be easy if you make little substitutions.

*Don't forget, if you get off track for one meal...it's only one meal.  Hop back on the fitness wagon the next meal!  We all need to indulge once in a while...just make the best choices that are aligned with your goals most of the time :)
