Cyber Monday -- This MONDAY December 15th!!

I've been trying to brainstorm how to best serve my Insanity clients during their group workouts with me AND how to support them when they aren't with me!!   In thinking about this I had to really had to reflect on WHY I work as Insanity instructor.

Soooooo in my jotting of notes, I realized I do actually have a philosophy rooted in my fitness teaching and coaching. These are a few things that I truly believe in...

1. All women should feel great in their body.

2. All women should have access to fun workouts without sign-up fees, cancellation fees, or paying a crazy amount of money per class.

3. Women's workouts should be TOUGH (we are stronger than we think ya know!), but the workouts should modified for all levels so EVERYONE feels welcome during the class AND accomplished at the end of the 60 minutes.

Those are the THREE things I thought about as I planned my "Better in 2015" Live Insanity Program....

Check out the details...

STARTS: NOW!!  Why wait for a new year!  Get started now!

WORKOUT CLASSES: Every Tuesday & Thursday @ 6-7pm in Hyde Park

NUTRITION SUPPORT: I'll just be honest....your body won't change if your nutrition doesn't.  I ask that you make a one-time investment of $40 in a ONE of a kind nutrition program.  LIFE changing!

TRACKING YOUR PROGRESS:
-Starting December 30th --> LAST Tuesday of the month will be "progress day."
This means a fit test for 15 minutes in class (just checks your progress in your workouts--nothing to worry about!!), followed by an Insanity workout of course!!
-After that very class, I'll take clients' measurements/progress pics.
-Of course this "tracking progress" is optional, but trust me, there is nothing more motivating than seeing your results and making new goals for the next month!

ONLINE SUPPORT: 2x a week of workouts and daily nutrition fix will get you far ... BUT you'll also have access to an online support group, daily tips, motivation, and mini-workout challenges to do at home!  Free service for all Better than Yesterday clients who attend class.

Sound like something you want to invest in?!

11 class for $45!!  Say what?!  Makes a great a holiday present too!

Pass is valid for 3 months from sale date!
"Cyber Monday" deal is valid December 15th to January 6th.

No Bake Protein Cookie Bars

On this lazy Sunday I was totally feeling like baking...but when I bake...well, I eat!!  Not ruining my hard workout at the gym with unnecessary calories.  So I am giving into my crave for baking and for chocolate by making these protein cookie bars.

Yumm!

So so easy too and most likely you'll have all the ingredients in your kitchen (love when that happens and I don't have to run to the store for 1 little ingredient!).

Recipe is below picture :)

So I didn't want 24 servings around my kitchen so I divided the recipe into a quarter (running low on Shakeology too so it worked out perfectly).

Winter Sangria for Your Holiday Party

Holiday parties are upon us and it's always fun to bring something a little different for friends to enjoy.

I usually stick to a plain ol' veggie platter with greek yogurt dip so I have healthy options to eat :)

Today I'm feeling like bringing something a little different than my go-to choice so I got up early this morning to get my sangria ready (didn't realize it needed to soak overnight or for at least 6 hours!).  It's soaking now and will be ready just in time for tonight.

Here's the recipe...not super healthy, of course.  But, everything in moderation is my mantra!  Little wine with some fruit never ruined someone's fitness goals ;)

Check out the recipe below from Simple Bites.

Ingredients
  • 1 pear, washed, seeded and sliced
  • 4 clementines, washed and sliced thinly
  • 1 apple, washed, seeded and sliced
  • 1 cup pomegranate arils
  • 1/4 cup organic raw cane sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 3 cups pomegranate juice OR
  • elderflower cordial (not both)
  • 1 cup orange juice, ideally freshly squeezed
  • ginger ale or club soda for serving
  • ice cubes

Instructions
  1. In the bottom of a large glass pitcher or gallon jar, combine sliced fruit and pomegranate.
  2. Sprinkle with cane sugar and toss in the cinnamon stick.
  3. Pour the red wine and the fruit juices over the fruit.
  4. Stir well, cover and refrigerate overnight or for at least 6 hours.
  5. To serve, remove cinnamon stick, and pour over ice into glasses. Top with ginger ale or club soda to taste. Garnish with more pomegranate arils if desired.
*Oh and you can add Brandy too to enhance alcohol content and complexity of flavors.
